PROFESSOR WITH A CREATIVE MIND


It was the last day of the conference, while I’m wondering where to GO!! I saw a couple in the EXPO area, although not very old, but seems very enthusiastic in their work..I went with two of my friends there..He started explaining his system for ”Telemedicine”.

It was a system desingned for 3rd world countries. Tele ECG machine & E-stethoscope are tailor made for 3rd world countries,  that is cost effective. According to him even  their maintenance cost is minimal. Also he had got his hands on developing a Tele palpation device & lung inflation device, which are still under development.

 He had developed centers for Telemedicine with operators in Bangladesh. Operators should have at least higher secondary level education & IT Literacy. So he had covered approx. 13,000 patients.

Really speaking I admire his effort & courage in building this system, despite his age. His wife is an electronic engineer who was giving an enormous support to him. When he became the winner of Telemedicine category of Commonwealth Digital Awards 2018, his wife was telling me with happy tears in her eyes, how busy he was with his work, without even having time to chat & enjoy with others.

That was a great opportunity for me to got to know Prof.K Siddique-e-Rabbani, university of Dhaka & his wife..It is the DHW which lead us for new contacts..Really Thankful!!!
